Résumé :
Who are the amish ? They are supposed to be a community that would never set food in automobiles, they would never accept changes in their lifestyle. First, we will have to go through numerous assumptions about them.
They are a religious community which lives in the USA, a country at the peak of technology. Why did they choose to live on the fringes of the American society? America can be a devout country, but here, we deal with a peculiar community.
Two hundred thousand 200 000 amish live through the United States, especially in states such as Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Ontario in Canada. They are portrayed as rural farmers who live in a bygone area. In front of them it's an extraordinary clash of ancient and modern.
But the core of the problem rises here. How a community which is rejecting technological advances can hope for prosperity in the modern world? What is behind the retro image of horse-drawn buggies and straw hat?
