Nursing management remains a critical component in today's healthcare. Due to a wide array of factors, the number of nurse managers is diminishing, and the healthcare industry is scrambling to stop this trend from continuing. Research and surveys have shown that the nurses are generally overworked and stressed because of the interminable nursing shortage that society has been facing for the past century. Researchers aim to discover why the shortage exists in the first place, and must tackle issues about gender stereotyping, financial rewards, as well as respect and recognition. The following articles will mention some of these ideas and reveal that many nurses lack the latter. These concerns also illustrate how effective nurse management can contribute to a better healthcare environment for the nursing staff as well as patient care.

It is first important to understand management in general in order to understand how it had developed through the years from the 17th century until presents. The basic concept behind management is that it is the field in human behavior wherein the manager needs to plan, organize, direct, and control the human capital and financial resources that an organization has.
In this report, we will focus on the classical theory because this is the foundation in which all other theories have been developed. Classical management is also referred to as the traditional management. It focuses on the bureaucratic, scientific, and administrative management.

I am writing to you because I would love to work alongside the gifted young women at Teen Voices. I am now 21 years old, but I remember happening across Teen Voices in my high school guidance office years ago; it was then that I realized that there was more to being a girl than doing your hair and talking endlessly about the Backstreet Boys. Teen Voices is an amazing venue for young women who want to explore real issues, which I respect and admire.

Within the context of democratic leadership, organizational members are both allowed and desired to participate in the decision making process shifting strategic planning from being the sole liability of the leader to be a shared organizational responsibility. In contrast, authoritative leadership denies any participation of the subordinates in the strategic decision making abolishing effective communication and raising barriers between top management and workforce.

Corporations, organizations and even the individuals that make them up are in a culture where super-communication is of utmost importance. Cell phones, pagers, e-mail and instant messenger make communication more evolved then it was even ten years ago and while person-to-person communication has gone down, communication has increased drastically because the world has become an international playground. Here is a list of the top ten principles of communication. All the principles are relevant today although they have been adapted to fit todays standards as opposed to yesterdays guidelines.

France has historically been one of the oldest and most prolific wine producing regions in the world. Statistically, France produces the most wine by value, though it is rivaled in other ways by Italy (most wine by volume) and Spain (most land under cultivation). The four major red grapes used to make French wine are Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, and Syrah. Each of these grapes has different flavor characteristics and produce different styles of red wine.

Any organization globally strives to meet its strategic goals. Although it sounds straightforward, in practice, this effort is complicated. The increasing market rivalry driving the industries leads to decreasing product life cycles. Moreover, the threat of new entrants and of substitute products is more present than ever, while at the same time the bargaining power of buyers and of suppliers define the products introduced in the market, i.e. the strategic moves of organizations. Consequently, a successful strategy implementation requires primarily constant innovation, but most importantly people, who would be willing to follow this demanding course of action and who would be willing to follow this demanding course of action and who would be intrinsically motivated to perform any task required as to ensure corporate and individual prosperousness.

The contribution of the executive mind in the corporate environment is a cmplex issue which has often been addressed in business literature. In its simplest form the effective executive mind is assigned to lead subordiantes, to find solutions and to overcome difficult situations by exposing the organization to the less possible risk. On the other hand, there are aspects of cognitive behaviour affecting the desired effectiveness.

From Emerson Colleges human resources website, I learned of an opening as the Student Service Centers manager. I believe I have the knowledge, skills and training to succeed in such a position, and a desire to return to the Emerson community more valuable than anything else.
I graduated in May from Emerson with a BFA in Writing, Literature and Publishing. I possess solid communication skills, both orally and written, as exemplified by my valedictorian status. More importantly, during those four years, I sought numerous experiences, hoping to learn as much as possible outside the classroom. I believe these experiences have combined to make me a better person. From senior class vice-president to an employee in both the housing office and the athletics department, I have collected many skills through the years in office settings, customer service, and interpersonal relationships. I am ready to put these skills together in a career. I believe I will contribute greatly to this position as manager of the Student Service Center, but I also believe this position will contribute greatly to my growth as an individual.

From Berklee College of Musics human resources website, I learned of numerous openings within the university. I am very interested in these positions, for I am seeking employment in an academic environment and believe that my education and experience will be very beneficial to the college and to its future students.
As a recent graduate of Emerson College with a BFA in writing, literature, and publishing and a minor in psychology, I have learned almost everything about the life of a college student. I honestly believe that this first-hand knowledge is crucial to being able to provide students with a full, detailed and fruitful college experience. As valedictorian of the Class of 2007, it is obvious I enjoyed and used fully my education; not only do I have only good things to say about my experiences, I also have many experiences to talk about. I was involved in many facets of the Emerson community and established many roles during my four years, from starting catcher on the softball team to a member of the Student Government Association, the Resident Hall Association, and the Emerson Alliance of Gays, Lesbians and Everyone. I was also an on-campus student for four years. The attached resume details further the extent to which I participated in and benefited from the Emerson College community.
