Résumé :

deckchairman inc has been selling hydraulic-lift chairs and hydraulic pumps since 2010. After a decade of research and development in robotics, the company is about to launch Movemate, a new product on the market of body extensions.
MoveMate is a hydraulic-lift chair with mechanical arms. It enables people that are weak, old or seek, to move themselves through their environment and to make things for which they have difficulties. It combines robotics and mechanics.
The market is obviously challenged by few powerful competitors. But there is one niche left that none of the competitors have filled yet. The American market is still profitable for deckchairman inc.
The company benefits from its good financial structure and from a good level of cash. Total project cost is estimated to reach $ 150m, which breaks down into $ 100m for 2031, $ 25m for 2032, and $ 25m for 2033.
The financing need, which should be covered through a bank loan, would be of $ 50m.
The context
2030. There is very little petroleum left on Earth. Through the years, some new energy has been developed, such as solar energy, wind energy, tidal power, but also hydrogen powered engines.
Our planet has never been so polluted. Climate has changed. And as a consequence, the developed countries are now making great efforts to protect environment.
China imploded and is now divided in several smaller states. After a decade of civil war, they are allied in the United States of China.
The European Union has become even more powerful than the USA influence has been decreasing in foreign policy.
The company :
deckchairman inc. was founded in 2010 by former students of Sup de Co Reims in San José, Cal.ifornia. It produces hydraulic-lift chairs.
First, the products targeted professionals such as building workers, packers, painters, library, supermarket, public buildings and works sector. In a few words, all kinds of professional who need to work in height were targeted. deckchairman inc. sales hydraulic-lift chairs for professionals who need to work in height in total security.
In 2011, deckchairman inc became the exclusive supplier in hydraulic-lift system of Dodge which produced the Firemen trucks for the main caserns of the USA. deckchairman inc. manufactured hydraulic-lift scales and cradles which were soon emblematic for the company.
In 2018, a scandal blew up when an environment minded journalist published the fact that the deckchairman inc plant polluted heavily a Californian river. Then some environmentalists took the company to Court to get a punishment and reparations.
The plant stopped immediately. New manufacturing procedures were elaborated and an environment friendly process was found. Since this event, deckchairman inc has created a fund to develop clean energy. Now, deckchairman inc. only uses hydrogen energy which is pollutant-free.
May 2022, deckchairman inc provided free equipments and services to San Francisco Firemen who were downtown to rescue the numerous victims of the earthquake "Pablo". Although the help given by deckchairman inc did not aim at making profits, it really improved the corporate identity among the American people.
The same year, deckchairman inc launched its "Cormontreuil robotic program". It aimed at developing robotics and mechanical tools to enable the hydraulic-lift chair user to do more work easily. The company funded this program with more than 40 million dollars.
The product :
MoveMate is our first product dedicated to the public. deckchairman inc enlarges its range of products with a technological concept which is declinable in numerous series of targeted groups.
MoveMate is a hydraulic-lift chair with mechanical arms. It enables people that are weak, old or seek, to move theirselves through their houses and to make things for which they have difficulties. We fulfil our target's needs with seats which provide them with mobility, strength, agility and autonomy.
MoveMate is the achievement of 8 years of research and development. It is the public version of high-technologies primary developed for professionals exclusively. It combines both hydraulic-lift and robotics technologies, mechanics and virtual intelligence.
How does it work?
The user sits on command, switches on the engine and attaches his arms and legs to sensitive captors. The MoveMate follows then any movement the user intimates it to do: walking, climbing, catching ... The MoveMate's arms have mechanical hands at their extremities. These ones enable the machine to take and to manipulate things, to interfere with its user's environment. MoveMate is powered by hydrogen engines which work with H12, a safe and ecological fuel.
