SummaryHealthy relationships and healthy work environments are just two components of a productive work place. This case deals with workers who felt in danger of losing their jobs because co-ops were doing almost the same job and gaining more responsibilities. Instead of trying to find some way to confront this problem, managers chose not to deal with it and work around it.

- Management needs to step in and recognize the ill feelings between the two groups. There needs to be some re-assurance provided to the Manulife employees that their fears are unwarranted
- The first step is to collect feedback from every employee anonymously, only stating whether they are Manulife or Hancock employees
- The obvious solution to this cooperation problem is to mingle the employees and cross-train them
