Phones have been integral to the evolution of communications and can be considered to have been the most prominent icon of interpersonal interactions over long distances. From the moment Alexander Graham Bell say those famous words to Thomas Watson over the first incarnation of the telephone Mr. Watson, come here, I want you! his invention has flourished to become one of the most commonly used technologies in the world.
Though many inventions have come after it, providing faster use, video imaging or more comprehensive service, the telephone remains a powerful force, evolving constantly and encompassing more and more technology, eventually becoming a multimedia device the likes of which Bell could only dream of.

The turn of the new century has brought outstanding leaps in the realm of technology. The rapid progression of technological development has changed the way our society operates. Moreover, the influence of technology has taken over our lives as a whole. It is with this premise that indeed technology has changed everything, does the lecture of Craig Barrett, Chairman of Intel Corporation, revolve around. In particular, technology has driven global economic growth and development making it an integral component of our everyday lives. Barrett outlined a number of points which come from the aforementioned observation and realization. Looking at it in high level, Barrett tackled what is going on around the world referencing significant improvements in technology that has changed the face of humanity and of the world. He then moved on to discuss the importance of such technologies highlighting his companys contribution to the evolution of technology.

The advancement of computer technologies has served as the basis for the evolution of organizations. In recent years, the proliferation of wireless technologies has made it possible for employees to work more independently, in some cases eliminating the need for an office. These advances have been so profound that they are reshaping the way in which organizations conceptualize their growth and development. While the development of wireless technologies has clearly been a boon for both employees and organizations, for information technology (IT) professionals, the proliferation of wireless technologies has brought considerable concern and worry. This is because, despite the utility of wireless technologies, the ability to maintain security on wireless networks continues to remain a pervasive challenge for IT professionals. Thus, at a time when wireless technologies are proliferating in the organization, IT professionals must clearly identify and define the safety protocols that can be used to protect the integrity of the organizations vital information. If steps are not taken to ensure the security of wireless technologies, the organization could face serious breaches of its internal data.

The processes of memory and recollection are critical for understanding the human mind. Although considerable research has been done with respect to these issues, much of what is known about memory and recall is theoretical in nature. Thus, while modern psychologists and medical scientists have a basic rudimentary understanding of how memory and recall occur, quantification of these processes remains an elusive task. With the realization that memory and recall represent such notable challenges for quantification, there is a clear impetus to examine what research has been published on these subjects such that a more integral understanding of memory and recall can be garnered. To this end, this investigation examines scholarly literature on the phenomenon of flashbulb memory. Through a careful consideration of what has been written about this subject and the research that has been conducted in this area, it will be possible to elucidate the overall complexity of memory and recall. Further, by examining the specific issues surrounding flashbulb memories, it will be possible to demonstrate that the special mechanism hypothesis of flashbulb memory creation is not valid.
