Résumé
This job interview is between the general director of Magic Screen Mrs Sandy Ryan and the candidate Miss Laura Durand who is researching an employment. The job interview gives the potential employee and potential employer a chance to learn more about each other.
On the one hand, the objective of the interviewee is of course to get the job. Miss Laura Durand must transition herself across that boundary and demonstrate to the interviewer that she understands and that she can solve their problem and answer to the waitings of the company.
And on the other hand, the interviewer's objective is to solve a problem (namely, to find a qualified candidate). Immediately, there is a complete diversity of objectives.
Employers say they are impressed by job candidates who have excellent communication skills, good grooming habits, and relevant work experience. Employers say they want trustworthy new hires who can move right in, get along with their co-workers, and get the job done without having to be babied at each step.
In a first part, I will present the two different actors of the job interview, that is to say the interviewer Mrs Sandy Ryan, the company Magic Screen and the job offer sample on the one hand, and the interviewee Miss Laura Durand, its resume and its cover letter on the other hand.
Then, in a second part, I will talk about the negotiation itself, using the Positional Bargaining 4 step method that we studied during the course.
And in a third and last part, I will present the in and out both for the interviewer and the interviewee and the different negotiation points.
