section Summary

Scientology is a controversial new aged religion which has grown and shrank quickly over the past few decades. Much about the religion is unknown to the general public aside from the fact that it seems to be popular among celebrities. With their headquarters located on Hollywood Boulevard they have managed to attract celebrities like Tom Cruise, John Travolta and Katie Holmes to their faith. This religion claims to offer much to individuals willing to donate to their church, with answers to almost all of life’s mysteries. However many people disagree with scientology, claiming that is a cult movement created simply to generate profit. Regardless of those claims, scientology claims to have over 6 million members with 700 centers in 65 countries and is one of the wealthiest new religions.
