Global warming, water pollution, child labour, human rights... All international firms have currently to cope with many social problems. It is becoming common to make a report for multinational companies in order to clarify, to explain and to justify company's actions and the way they manage their challenge through responses.
The aim of this essay is to analyse the social report of air france / klm and look for responses from the group in order to point out an evaluation of their Corporate Social Responsibility. The Corporate Social Responsibility is the way how firms take the responsibility of the result of their action on the different stakeholders. Assuming the impact of their activity is a key point but they also have to cope with the Corporate Governance and the Business Ethics. According to A. Cadbury (1992), the corporate governance is "the system by which organisations are controlled and directed". The system of management affects the company's behaviour in terms of decision-making such as social, environmental or marketing decision.
Then, the Business Ethics of the company is relative to the principles of the company and to the way in which the company decides to operate.
In this essay we will deal with the Corporate Social Responsibility of air france / klm and we will begin by a brief overview of the group before analysing the corporate social report of the group. The aim of this part will be to identify relevant stakeholders and their impact on the company and, in turn, the impact of the company on its stakeholders. It will be of importance to point out the different challenges of the group in terms of responsibility. After studying the report, it appears evident to identify the company responses in order, first, to cope with its challenges and, then, to demonstrate the efficiency or inefficiency of the actions taken by the group.
