Résumé :
This essay is about culture, religion and identity in ireland. The first part explains how ireland has discovered It's own culture and how one can see himself as being Irish. Then, it describes the importance of the cultural identity affirmation and how ireland deals nowadays with the modernity. The second part depicts the impact of religions in societies and especially the role of the Catholic Church in ireland. Then, the essay develops the link between religion and identity/education. However, nowadays in ireland more and more people start to have "no religion". Is religion in danger? Finally, the third part expands the globalisation and its tendency to homogenize cultures. Although it's hard to fight against this, Irish people don't agree and they try to affirm their identity all over the world.
